Art with a Heart, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides engaging, educational, and interactive visual arts classes to underserved Baltimore area children, youth, and adults in schools, group homes, shelters, community centers, recreation centers, foster care agencies, senior facilities, and hospitals. Founded in 2000, Art with a Heart’s mission is to enhance the lives of people in need through visual art. To achieve its mission, Art with a Heart works to harness the benefits of arts education to cultivate positive, long-lasting changes in the lives and communities of its students.
During your experience at Art with a Heart, you will participate in hands-on, art activities that include preparing materials for ongoing art classes, contributing to large-scale public art projects, and helping create art pieces for HeARTwares, AWAH’s social enterprise retail store. Activities may include painting, ceramics, cutting, mosaic, and grouting and no art experience is required!
