Building the MIshkan (Tabernacle): It’s a Vibe — Text-based learning
Join us for a boisterous and fun gathering to explore the relationship between the individual and their community when it comes to building Jewish community that is flexible and iterative, requires leadership to be amongst and move along with the people, and is poised to brace the elements that come its way. In this session we will engage with text and each other to think about the relationship between self and collective. We will think about the various gifts and contributions that a community needs in all its fullness and how to activate individuals in our community to give of their own gifts meaningfully and willingly. This session will include some basic mapping of your OWN gifts that you bring to the communities you are part of and explore some basic tenants of “Mishkan Judaism”, a model for Jewish community and engagement that started in the desert, but really speaks to the times we are living in now vis a vis data, trends and demographics. Not sure where to plug in to this learning block? This session will be accessible and approachable for learners of any mileage and experience.
