You’ve got questions. We’ve got answers.
Who is the conference for?
Leading Edge presents JPro25 in partnership with Jewish Federations of North America is for anyone who works for a Jewish nonprofit organization in the US or Canada and cares deeply about strengthening our sector. We’ll gather as a community of over 1,300 professionals, showcasing the diversity of our field: from foundation and Federation teams, to educators and community and social service professionals; from camp leaders and JCC staff to social justice and advocacy professionals – and everyone in between.
A particular joy of JPro25 will be exploring and celebrating the purpose that drives our work and uncovering the successes, rough roads that led to inspiring ideas, and stories that have encouraged our workforce. This conference is for you if you want to build important skills, grow your professional network, or just be a part of the exciting things happening across our field.
Is there a day rate for the conference?
No, we will not be offering a day rate for Leading Edge presents JPro25 in partnership with Jewish Federations. See our registration page for more information.

When does the conference begin?
The conference will begin with an Opening Plenary at 4:30 pm on Monday, May 5.
For those arriving close to 4:30, we recommend leaving your luggage with the hotel concierge and moving to the registration desk to check-in and receive your credentials. These credentials will be required to enter the conference space, and we don’t want you to miss a moment of JPro25!
I will be participating in conference programming before check-in is open on the day I arrive. What do I do with my luggage?
Whether you have an early flight or are participating in a pre-conference activity, like Experience Baltimore Site Visits, we will have dedicated, secure rooms at the hotels to store your luggage prior to check-in.
What should I pack?
The dress code for JPro25 is business casual. We encourage you to bring layers, as the temperature indoors may fluctuate. If you are attending an Experience Baltimore Site Visit, please plan accordingly if your visit includes time outdoors. We’ll also have a headshot booth available, so feel free to bring something special to wear (besides your smile).
We will provide each attendee with a water bottle, but you may also want to bring a bag, notebook, and pen. We will also provide face masks for your comfort. If you or a member of your household feel unwell or exhibit symptoms of illness in the days leading up to the conference, you should not attend JPro25.
You will need a government-issued ID for check-in at the conference.

What measures are being taken for those observing restrictions related to The Omer?
The Omer (sefirat haOmer) is the period between Passover and Shavuot. This is traditionally a time of reflection and mourning and some Jews observe various restrictions during that time. We have created the following policies to help anyone observing the Omer participate fully in the conference without compromising your religious practices.
General Policies:
- At no time during the conference will live music be played in a public space.
- At no time during the conference will there be dancing in a public space.
Plenaries:
- During the plenaries, we will play recorded music with either no instrumentation or light instrumentation during the walk-in period before plenary sessions begin in the ballroom.
- Once each plenary session begins, there will be no instrumental music.
- There will be tables reserved just inside the ballroom doors so that those who walk in after the music ends can easily find seats.
Skill-building Workshops and Jewish Learning sessions:
- All Skill-building Workshops and Jewish Learning sessions will indicate in the conference app whether or not they will feature recorded music, singing (voices only), or neither, so you can select the workshop that aligns with your practice.
Tuesday’s MVP Party:
- Tuesday night’s celebration will be spread among three spaces. The outside area will have a wider array of recorded instrumental music played by a DJ. There will be no music in the inside spaces.
Please visit the “Omer” Resource in the conference app for more information.
What security protocols will be in place for the conference?
Your safety is our top priority. We have taken extensive measures to ensure a secure environment—without compromising the welcoming, inclusive spirit we want to define the entire conference. Security personnel have been trained to support a diverse community of attendees with care, consistency, and respect. Upon arrival at the Hilton, all guests will go through a metal detector and small bags brought to the conference floor will be subject to inspection. A photo ID will be required to receive your security credentials. There will be a K9 unit on site.
You’ll also notice both uniformed and plainclothed security professionals positioned throughout the venue and surrounding areas. These protocols are based on guidance from Jewish communal and Baltimore-area security organizations and reflect current threat assessments. We appreciate your understanding and partnership in creating a safe space for everyone.
Please review the Code of Conduct for more security information and protocols.
Will tefillot (Jewish services) be offered onsite?
Morning and evening Jewish prayer services will be offered throughout the conference. Whether this is part of your daily ritual practice, or something you are interested in exploring, we welcome your participation. See the schedule for more information on morning and evening prayer services.
