Centralizing Care: Building Creative Partnerships to Meet the Mental Health Needs of the Jewish Community

Jewish organizations face growing mental health needs but lack the capacity to provide specialized services. Rather than building new infrastructure, we convened leaders from across the Jewish community – from day schools to senior centers – to assess needs and collect data. We collectively identified gaps in services, and then collaborated with both Jewish organizations and established secular behavioral health providers to ensure we could meet the mental health needs of our community, thereby fostering organizational partnerships to leverage resources and expertise and pilot programs. Our approach prioritized efficiency, met community demand, and allowed over-stretched Jewish organizations to focus on their strengths.
