In a rapidly evolving world and workplace, managers play a critical role in shaping organizational culture, staff engagement, and retention. A growing body of research confirms that employees are significantly more likely to stay in their roles—and perform at higher levels—when led by people-centered, emotionally intelligent leaders (Harvard Business Review, 2023). This is particularly true for Millennials and Gen Z, with 79% stating they will stay longer in a job where they feel cared for as a person (Deloitte, 2023). What were once considered “soft skills” are now recognized as essential leadership competencies for the 21st century.
This interactive workshop goes beyond theory. Together, we’ll examine the barriers that get in our way and actively build the skills needed to lead with greater resonance. Through real-world scenarios, we’ll strengthen our ability to engage in deep listening, foster curiosity, and navigate difficult interactions with empathy and clarity. Participants will leave with practical tools they can immediately apply to cultivate a workplace where staff feels valued, supported, and motivated to stay and grow.
