Through media arts education, Wide Angle Youth Media collaborates with and amplifies the voices of Baltimore youth to engage audiences across social divides. Our programs inspire creativity and instill confidence in young people, supporting them to navigate school, career, and life. Since 2000, Wide Angle Youth Media has worked with over 7,790 youth from across Baltimore City who have produced thousands of media projects about their lives and communities.
Attendees to Wide Angle Youth Media’s session will learn how the organization operates at the intersection of media arts, youth development, and workforce training, to address the complex challenges that many of Baltimore’s young people face. Wide Angle is a leader in bringing creative youth apprenticeships to the state of Maryland and has received national recognition for its impact. The session will include media screenings, participant dialogue and Q&A, and an opportunity to apply media making/storytelling to expand social impact in their community.
